Baby Dylan - 90 wks (21 mths) old today

OK, Here is our weekly update on Mr. Dylan. We are preparing to get ready to go to a New Year's Eve party tonight and Dylan is excited although I am not to sure how he will like the fireworks. He is sooo tuckered out from all the holiday travel. We stayed last night in a hotel in Lake Charles, Louisiana because at 11:30pm the visibility with the fog was horrific. At the hotel this morning for breakfast, there was a hotel staff member that Dylan would not stop flirting with. It was almost embarrassing. He would wave and smile, telling her , "Cheese" Just like she was paparazzi are something. What can I say, he is a mess!

Feliz Navidad!

Every year, for years, my younger cousins and I have exchanged Christmas gifts with one another. This year of course I wasn't in town for Christmas Eve, so we decided to carry on our tradition; but this year with a new twist, lol. We went (just the 3 of us) and had dinner and exchanged our gifts at ...ready for this...prepare yourself....dadadadummmmm.....(drum roll) ......."Los Tresamigos!" Yes, a mexican restaurant. What can I say, we had our very own Christmas Fiesta!!!...LOL!

Our Family Christmas Trip 2008

Well, lets see, where do I begin, we left the day after Christmas and visited both of our families in Louisiana and Alabama. We had a wonderful visit with both families. Dylan was so excited to see everyone one. Attached is 2 photo collages from our trip. CAUTION: Matt and I have decided that both of our families are like fudge, mostly sweet with a few nuts!!!

Merry Christmas!

What a wonderful day it has been! Last night, after sneaking a few of Santa's cookies and a few sips of his milk; Dylan drifted off into a peaceful slumber. Of course he had to be changed into in his Christmas pjs before the whole going to sleep thing, lol! Anyways, he was very surprised when he awoke to see that Santa had came! We had a wonderful Christmas dinner, just the 3 of us! Matt cooked a ham and sides, while I took Dylan's toys out of there packaging (not an easy task)!!!

Well we are about to watch the "Walt Disney Christmas Parade" again; for like the third time, lol (I taped it) !

Enjoy and remember, Jesus is the reason for the season!

FYI - Santa didn't leave ALL those gifts for Dylan, there was plenty for many many many more people that was also on his list, so he left gifts for us to deliver to them!

Christmas Eve 2008

..................................................................................................................................Here is a "Night before Christmas" collage for your viewing pleasure!

Baby Dylan - 89 wks (20 mths) old today

Okay so Dylan totally thinks the ornaments are baseballs. All the time I find him attempting to launch one in the air. Needless to say he has his over-hand throws down pat, lol (I have to be a bragging mom).
He did ask Santa to bring him a tee ball set. It will be played with outside and not in the house, for sure!
What's new, well he has been doing this for a few weeks, but its still new; jumping with both feet leaving the ground at the same time. He goes straight up in the air. Also, he loves to watch "The Wiggles" sing about the joeys (baby kangaroos) jumping on the bed. He falls and says , "Oh, No" and holds his head each time one falls off. So cute!!!

Baby Dylan - 88 wks (20 mths) old today

Well the tree is trimmed, the house is decorated with lights. I must say everything is so beautiful, now if only our new window treatments were in,lol. Oh, can't have it all!

Dylan is amazed by the Christmas tree, he says, "ohhh wook, free!" In translation meaning," ohhh look, tree!" I love the fact he speaks in sentences now. You never know what he is gonna say. He loves to show us all the decorations in the yard. Calling out the Snowman, who is by the way, "Noman!"LOL. He is the cutest ever!

Santa Explains....

Baby Dylan - 86 wks (20 mths) old today

Dylan is getting SO smart and constantly testing our boundaries. His behavior is really good for the most part, other than when he is trying to see how far we will let him get away with things. For example, we put up our Christmas tree and he started out going and touching it, no problem then it went to going and pointing to the ornaments, no problem, then it went to throwing the ornaments, umm BIG PROBLEM. He doesn't want to hold them; he wants to chunk them clear across the room. We have to not overreact when we see him with a ornament in hand because he freaks and it goes in the air and lands onto the floor in a million pieces. Although most of the decorations are non breakable, he some how finds the glass ones every time. Oh, I guess its a learning experience for the whole family, lol!!! Besides, look at that cute little bug!!!
