Baby Dylan - 60 wks (14 mths) old today

Wow, Dylan has been very sick. Sorta like a few weeks ago, when we spent the night in the ER. Last night he ran a very high fever and all day today as well. I think he has got a bug of some sort. He was up most of the night, and so were we. He was crying and cranking for a long time, then seemed to calm down. Today, all he has wanted pretty much was just to be held. He is napping right now. Hopefully he is overcoming this illness that has struck him once again.

Memorial Day 2008

Much more than a three-day weekend, Memorial Day holiday is meant to reflect on the true meaning of the day, to honor America's fallen heroes and be thankful to them for their efforts and their profound patriotism. Memorial Day is also the time to think about and give aids to the families, widows and orphans of the war dead. . Memorial Days seeks to stir the patriotic feelings of every American citizen and remind them that they owe their freedom and liberty to the finest of young men and women who laid down their lives for them.

Baby Dylan - 59 wks (13 mths) old today

Dancing, is Dylan's favorite pass time! Any time he hears music he is all over the room dancing away. He is trying to snap his fingers now. He learned to do this when my mom came to visit last month and has almost got the whole snapping thing down to an art.
We have a busy weekend ahead of us, we are gonna go to the beach. Matt and I are looking forward to spending the Memorial day weekend with a few friends. We even have a babysitter lined up for Friday night, so we can go watch the new,"Indiana Jones" movie.

Baby Dylan - 59 wks (13 mths) old today

OK, Dylan absolutely loves to wrinkle his nose and make this face. It is his trademark smile; a squint! Cracks us up! This pic was taken in out front yard. He wasn't being to cooperative when we took this photo of him. He wanted to run all over the place. I was like," we are leaving to go eat lunch, and the sprinklers just turned off not that long ago, you CAN NOT run in the wet grass." At the least to say, he wasn't pleased with our decision. Later that day when we returned he ran all through the yard, laughing! What can I say, boys will be boys!

Baby Dylan - 58 wks (13 mths) old today

Dylan has his own swimming pool to help beat the summer heat. He loves splashing around in it. The attached photo, is of him taking his first dip in it. I will post some more photos of him and his pool later this week.

On another note, this week, Dylan has become a nonstop mover; a total fan of energy-expending activities! Our fiercely independent son has to be doing something at all times without any of our help, whether it it feeding himself, or getting dressed. It is neat to see how he is learning so fast to do things all by himself.

Ice Ice Baby

Who knew that our son loves rapper Vanilla Ice? The other night Matt and I was flipping channels on the TV when we came across the 90's music channel and they were playing the old school rap song, Ice Ice Baby. Well, Dylan started dancing like crazy and yes we happen to catch it on video. So here is Dylan dancing to Ice Ice Baby; the video is just under 4 mins long and remember to turn up your speakers. Enjoy!

Trip to the Zoo!

Today we had a wonderful day at the zoo. Mie Mie (my mom) had a neat time taking lots of fun photographs.

Artwork by Austin Dufrene

Outsider Art as know as Raw Art; describes the unconventional, creative output of people with little or no formal training in art. This is a great example of that form of art. This is a piece created by 7 year old, Austin Dufrene of Katy, Texas. It represents 3 very dear friends. In this picture that was hand drawn by Mr. Dufrene;carefully notice the detail of each individuals face, showing different characteristics; each like all people do. Mr. Dufrene has captured the hearts of many art lovers in this exquisite piece. We hope you enjoy it as well!
