Baby Dylan - 81 wks (19 mths) old today

This is my 2nd blog entry today, so much has happened. Dylan's pediatrician did call Matt today with the results from Dylan's upper GI that was done on Monday and he DOES indeed still suffer from reflux and so back on daily medicine we go. Dylan will be taking a total of 6 doses of 2 medicines everyday from now on. We will start that whole process tomorrow. Dylan suffered from reflux as an infant. At 9 months he came off all of his medicines and went on whole milk. Please remember to keep us in your prayers.

Not so well!

Wow.... what a crazy week so far!!! Here we go, well, Dylan, Matt and I all ended up getting food poising from some tainted milk Monday night. Both Dylan and I ended up being hospitalized. I had a bowl of cereal , Dylan had a bottle. Matt had just a bit of milk in his morning coffee. Immediately after eating the cereal I became very ill. After almost 24 hours straight of vomiting and other not so wonderful things I will not mention, I couldn't take it anymore, especially when Dylan started throwing up and well you know. Matt was at work and came home yesterday to find everyone very sick and decided to rescue us with a visit to the ER. Matt also came down with the sickness but just a little bit. Thank goodness he didn't have anymore of the milk than the small amount he added to his coffee. With lots of medicine and sleep, things are looking better. Now Dylan has lost more weight.

Checking in ! ! !

Checking in is an understatement today. Dylan had a follow-up doctor's appointment today from his last visit as he had lost weight from the visit before last. Once he was there, it was determined that he had lost more weight again. The doctor decided that he wanted to get some blood work done. Sheree' was in for a treat with Dylan as I was not there with her. After the blood work was done, it kept getting better. She called me at work and told me that they were sending Dylan to the hospital to have an upper GI done to see why he was not eating (wanting to make sure that something was not wrong physically with his digestive process i guess). At the hospital, Dylan drank a minimal amount of liquid that was required for the test to have the best results. There were signs of possible reflux still, but we will have to wait for the 'official results' from the pediatrician. Once home this evening; Dylan, after getting exhausted from his doctor's visits today, sleep for several hours this afternoon and work up like nothing happened. He proceeded to eat more than he has in the last 4 days.

Baby Dylan - 80 wks (18 mths) old today

Here is Mr. Dylan, playing in his high chair. Lately the only way I can get he to eat is to sit by him on the floor. Occasionally he will sit in the high chair but, then all he wants to do is play.
Pretty funny, he now says,"cupcake". He will repeat it over and over then follow it up with,"okay...alright". That's his way of sending you on you way to Ooh La La Desert Boutique- http://www.oohlalasweets.com/ ! Dylan's new favorite place, lol! His personal choice, "The Bunny Boo". A carrot cake and cream cheese icing; a cupcake delight. Both Matt and I like the Velvet Elvis cupcake; cream cheese icing with no other, red velvet cake. Umm I am starting to sound like a commercial!

Baby Dylan - 79 wks (18 mths) old today

Dylan recently started waking up in the middle of the night wanting to look at his books or watch Elmo or The Wiggles. He would say, "Wags, the dog" (that's the dog from The Wiggles). I would have to tell him that Wags was asleep and that he needed to go back to sleep himself as well. So last night about 3:30am he woke up , and when I went to put him back to bed he started the whole "Wags" bit, then after I told him, no-no Wags was asleep, He closed his little eyes and told, me "Night Night" and went back to sleep. It was so hard not to laugh out loud, but I managed not to wake him up. When I got back to my bed, I was still laughing to myself about it. I guess he finally understands after several nights or correction that we are not gonna play when it is clearly time be asleep and go "Night Night!" LOL!

We've been BOOED!!!

Just a few days ago we got "Booed"! When Matt came home from work he found this awesome "Boo" basket on our front doorstep. I wonder if we will by chance "Boo" the person who "Booed" us!

FYI- for those folks who don't know how the "Boo" game works. I have attached the poem and instructions. So feel free to print it out and "Boo" your family or friends for fun, if we all do our part, "Boo" will stay on the run!!!

Baby Dylan - 78 wks (18 mths) old today

Here is our little man in his 18 month old portrait shoot. He is staring to really look like a little boy instead of a little "baby" boy.

It's pretty funny, Dylan sees this photo ands immediately starts saying," Yummmmmmm!" He really enjoyed the sucker he was photographed with. By the end of the session it was all over his cute little sailor suit. Oh well, guess I had that coming. I will be sure to post all the other pictures taken real soon!

And the winner is...

Okay so I have learned Dylan doesn't have any height phobias. He loves to climb up on things and the higher the better, ladders, bookcases, etc. Here is a photo I took of him at the bar stool in my breakfast area. I came into the room and to my very surprised eyes, there was Mr. Dylan trying to turn on the water faucet.

Baby Dylan - 77 wks (18 mths) old today

Dylan had his 18 month- well baby check-up Monday. He did pretty good. He told the nurse, "outside" when we entered the exam room. He cried a little bit and let it be know that he didn't really want to be there at all. He also told her to go," Bye-Bye"! He was still attempting a try at getting her to leave the room.

He has lost some weight, we are going back for a weight check up in approx. 4 weeks to see if he will gain anything. The doctor has put him on Pedi-sure, which he hates. That hasn't been going very well. Anyways other than that, he seems to be a healthy little boy. I will be sure to keep everyone posted on our follow up weigh in.
