Fountain Fun

If you have 2 mins of spare time (I know you are thinking, spare time, what's that?) the following video/pictures are of Dylan playing in the fountains at LaCenterra.

Enjoy!

Baby Dylan - 57 wks (13 mths) old today

This week Dylan got to play in the fountains close to our house at a nearby shopping center called, "La Centerra"! He had a lot of fun splashing the water.

Dylan is really talking these days. He has went from saying,"See" to "See it", to "You See it" and the latest, get ready, "Do You See it"! A complete full sentence. Matt and I are truly amazed by it. He points and demands an answer. I will be sure to video it and post it here on the blog.It is unbelievable!

Baby Dylan - 56 wks (12 mths) old today

Here is my little man with his ever so mischievous grin! He just knows whenever mama is getting a photo of him, he pauses and waits for the flash! This week he has started running from me when I get on to him for messing with our blinds. He wants to swing from the bottom of them. He can't get to the cords, but has a fun time swinging from the wooden slats. Big time NO No. He runs when he sees me coming to fuss at him. Sometimes I think he swings from them just to get me to chase him. It works.....LOL!

My Rocking Chair

For Dylan's 1st birthday his Mie Mie & Paw Paw gave him his very own rocking chair. For a couple of days; Dylan would circle around it, curiously looking at it, but wouldn't have anything to do with rocking in it. Within a day or so after that, he started trying to climb up in the seat. He wanted to stand and rock, I had to nip that in the bud real quick so he wouldn't get hurt. Now he knows to sit on his bottom in the seat. He loves to rock. He brings a lot of smiles to us as he slowly goes back and forth laughing with accomplishment that he now can rock!

Baby Dylan - 55 wks (12 mths) old today

Well, things are going much better today than they were on Monday. Dylan is in a much rested mood. He actually slept ALL night last night. Whooo Hooo! He had been waking up every night @ exactly 2:00am. It was night to get a full nights rest.
He is such a busy body; into everything. Very nosey too. I guess, like his mama. I know you were thinking it, lol.

"Monday, Monday.....!"

Today has been a nutty day! Dylan has been fussy, and I have had a slight headache but, we have made it through the day. Matt wants to nap when he gets home from work today. I think we are all tired from so many fun things that we have been doing. So I guess that is an okay excuse to be cranky!

Dylan's 1st MLB Game!

Tonight we went to Minute Maid Park to watch Houston Astros vs. Florida Marlins ball game. It was a fun night for all of us. Dylan surprised me and really noticed the baseball been thrown from player to player. He DID NOT like it when Matt and I stood with the rest of the crowd to join in on the wave. It scared him pretty bad! The bottom line is, we all had a awesome night!

Last day @ Kemah Boardwalk

Here is a few photos to recap the last few days of family fun here at Kemah Boardwalk!

The Boardwalk Tower!

Today we took a trip up in the sky! If you have the time; watch the video of our ride. It is just under 5 mins long. Oh and as usual, don't forget to turn up the speakers. Enjoy!

The Aquarium @ Kemah Boradwalk

Tonight we ate at the centerpiece of Kemah Boardwalk; The Aquarium, a specialty restaurant featuring a 50,000 gallon tank of tropical fish. It was an 'underwater dining adventure,' for Dylan as well as Matt and I too.
Here is their website if you would like to check it out for yourself: CLICK HERE!

Kemah Boardwalk

Well, here we are, Kemah,Texas! Matt has been busy with a meeting and Dylan and I have had a wonderful day here on the boardwalk(http://www.kemahboardwalk.com/). Although, it would be much nicer for Matt to join us, he has a presentation @ 3:30pm that he has to do, lol.

Tomorrow Matt will venture with us!There is a 65-foot Ferris wheel and midway arcade games to test one's skill. Seven outstanding themed restaurants. With its carnival-like atmosphere, attractive design and beautifully well-maintained grounds, Kemah Boardwalk is an unrivaled tourism destination in Texas. Just one step inside the Kemah Boardwalk entrance welcomes visitors to a relaxing and enjoyable experience.

We are staying at the Boardwalk Inn (http://www.kemah.com/index.php). It's a first class nautical-themed hotel. We have a balcony that overlooks a courtyard with dancing fountains in which to play and cool off. Below our room on the 2nd floor; there is boutiques and shops for fun gifts and fashions. I will be sure to post all the pics we take.

Anyways- here is a photo of my beloved son, Dylan. His hair is really starting to grow. Very soon he will be getting his hair trimmed, but not just yet.

Visit to the Houston Zoo!

Today we decided to pay a visit to the animals at the zoo. Oh my goodness, Dylan completely noticed all the animals. He even started pointing them out as we would pass by them. For more information on the Houston zoo, be sure to visit them @ http://www.houstonzoo.com/.

Baby Dylan - 53 wks (12 mths) old today

It is so bitter sweet to watch Dylan turn one. All of the sudden my little tiny baby is a toddler. He is a mess. This week we are in Lafayette, LA. Matt has a few meetings and is giving Dylan and I a chance to visit with family and friends here in Cajun Country.

On another note, with all the toys Dylan received for his birthday we have noticed how his playing skills are evolving. He thinks it's fun to push, throw, and knock everything down. He'll give you a toy as well as take one, and he likes games where he can put things in containers and dump them out again. This works well with blocks in buckets or boxes and with pots and pans, which he can nest inside one another. He is thrilled to hear the loud sounds of those pots and pans banging together, too. Can't say the same for us....LOL!
