Our New Home!

It's final, the papers say it is ours. Our new home is awesome. It has been non-stop trying to get odds and ends taking care of before we move in. We are scheduled to move in the week of June 11th. Hopefully everything will go smooth. Until then, we will be sure to keep you posted.

Thursday is the Day!

We are scheduled to close on the house this Thursday. We are waiting on a few minor adjustments to be made to the granite countertops in our kitchen and our front door to come in, that's pretty much it. It's unbelievable how fast everything has happened. Soon we while be moving out of our temporary apartment (http://www.vineyardsapts.com/photogallery.html) and into our new home. Almost Home!

What's up? Matt and I have been soo busy with finalizing the last few remaining details before we can close on the house. We are hoping to close this week if all goes as expected. Today we are supposed to meet with our builder for a walk-through. It is very exciting. Our kitchen appliances went in this past week. They are pretty awesome. They are manufactured by "Kitchen-Aid". We are very pleased with them. Well, I better get ready to go meet Matt.

New House Update

While i'm getting some coffee and taking a break from working (Server Maintenance) at the apartment, I figured I could post an update to our new home progress. I passed by the house yesterday evening and noticed that they had installed the flooring in the bathrooms and also had laid the carpet throughout the house. The backyard fence has also been put up. The first thing that I realized aboout the fence was that the gate on the side of the house will be too small for the hot tub to get thru. I guess we will have to take the side fence down for the movers to pass through. I also noticed however, that they installed the wrong front door. That may be due to the fact that we had recently upgraded the door to a full glass entrance door. I will try and pass there tomorrow evening and take some update pictures of the progress.

Things are coming together fast . . . .

I passed by the house yesterday and to my suprise, sod and landscaping were done.

I see green stuff

There is finally signs of life at our new house as we were pleased to see that the 2 oak trees were delivered and planted in our front yard. We are so glad that we went with 2 oak trees instead of pine trees. What was really amazing is the size of the trees (much, much larger than expected.) I also received a call from Chad, our builder, in which he wants to do a watch thru around May 18th and then again a week later. We are getting closer and closer to moving into our new home. Sorry about the picture quality, but I had to take the picture from my phone as we left the camera at the apartment.
